Defensive back and 2022 ELF All-Star: Munich Ravens get Karim Ben El Ghali

Another major reinforcement for the Munich Ravens for the 2024 season in the European League of Football: defensive back Karim Ben El Ghali joins the Bavarian franchise. The former ELF All-Star played the past two years with Frankfurt Galaxy.

Taking talent back to Bavaria

Sean Shelton, Director Sports of the Munich Ravens: "Karim is a young and talented player for our defensive backfield. His skill set is unique and he brings several years of experience in the ELF to Bavaria."

Karim Ben El Ghali is ready to take the next step: "I am more than grateful to finally be a part of the Munich Ravens. Thank you to Kendral Ellison and Sean Shelton for this great opportunity to bring my skills and dedication to the beautiful city of Munich. I'm excited to be back playing football in Bavaria, where it all began for me. It's like a dream come true to help a Bavarian franchise win its first ever championship."

Another All-Star joins Kendral Ellison's defense

Ben El Ghali (23) was born in Bavaria and also started out as a junior player with the Franken Knights. From 2018 to 2021, he played for the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, with whom he won the CEFL Bowl in 2021.

He then moved to the ELF with Frankfurt Galaxy. In two years, he made 44 tackles in 23 games, defended 13 throws and caught three interceptions. He was also selected to be a First All-Star in 2022.
