D'Angelo Fulford, born on September 27th, 1997, in Miramar, Florida, USA, is set to lead the Raiders Tirol with his exceptional skills and leadership on the football field against the Vienna Vikings on Saturday, 6 PM CET. His football journey began at Miramar High School, where he developed his talents before making a name for himself in college.

A Trailblazer in College Football

Fulford's college career started in 2016 at the University of Mount Union, where he joined the Purple Raiders in the Ohio Athletic Conference Division III. From the beginning, Fulford showed his skills in both passing and running plays, becoming a dynamic force on the field. He led the Purple Raiders to a perfect season and won the Division III National Championship in his sophomore year. Fulford's outstanding performance earned him many awards, including the OAC Bob Packard Offensive Back of the Year award. Throughout college, Fulford's impressive stats, including over 9,000 passing yards and 134 touchdowns, made him a top-tier quarterback.

First Step in Europe

Now, Fulford is starting a new chapter with the Raiders Tirol in Europe. Signed for the 2024 season, Fulford will be playing American football outside of North America for the first time. In his first game, he showed his talent and ambition. Although his 196 passing yards and two touchdowns in the first game against the Seamen aren't big numbers, some of his throws showed his great skill set.

End of the Losing Streak?

In week two of the ELF season, the Raiders will face their rivals, the Vienna Vikings, in the "Battle of Austria" whom they have never beaten in the ELF. With D'Angelo Fulford, they now have a highly talented quarterback who can also gain yards with his feet. Is he the missing piece for the Raiders to finally win? This weekend will tell.
