Cologne Centurions: Winless 2025 season marks historic low
Cara Iden

The Cologne Centurions went through a nightmare campaign in 2025, finishing 0-12 and marking their worst season so far. After steady but inconsistent years since joining the league in 2021 and one year after going 6-6, the team failed to win a single game and quickly found itself at the bottom of the ELF standings.
Centurions unable to compete on either side
Cologne's struggles were evident on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the team averaged only 5.75 points per game, ranking last in scoring and producing just 116.7 passing yards and 39.8 rushing yards per contest. Defensively, the Centurions gave up a league-high 61.6 points per game, including 238 rushing yards on average – both worst in the ELF.
Unlike previous seasons, no Cologne player was named to the All-Star teams. With no breakout players, the Centurions failed to make an impression.

Uncertain outlook
After mixed results in previous seasons, 2025 marked a historic low for Cologne with the franchise's first winless season. With no players selected to the All-Star teams and glaring weaknesses on both offense and defense, the Centurions face an offseason full of uncertainty about how to move forward. The organization must regroup and rebuild if they are to return as a competitive force in 2026.
