Cole in ELF Live: "The Ravens built amazing chemistry"

Jon Cole, the wide receiver of the Fehérvár Enthroners, has been one of the standout performers in the European League of Football this season. Despite joining the team in Week 4, he quickly established himself as a key playmaker. His consistency and impact on the field made him one of the league’s top three receivers and even a candidate for the Comeback Player of the Year Award.
Off the field, Cole also embraces the media side of the game. As a big fan and regular viewer of the ELF Live Show, which streams twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays on YouTube and across all ELF channels, Cole appeared on today’s edition with hosts Nick Alfieri and Matt Bressington to talk about his time in Hungary and share his perspective on the upcoming playoff matchups.

Cole's impact after joining the Enthroners
Cole was signed by the Enthroners in Week 4 after American pass rusher Malik Crenshaw was placed on injured reserve. Despite being one of the league's weaker teams and never in contention for the playoffs, the Enthroners kept fighting until the end of the regular season. Their effort was rewarded with a victory against the Berlin Thunder in Week 13. Speaking on the Live Show, Cole explained how the team managed to maintain team spirit: "We had to push guys and make them believe because when you start off the season like as the Enthroners did, it’s kind of rough to believe in like the second half of the season."
A big factor in that positive finish was Cole's own strong performance. In nine games, he recorded 1,147 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, ranking as the league's third-best receiver. His consistency stood out: six games with over 100 yards, including games against the Madrid Bravos, the Vienna Vikings, and the highly rated Stuttgart Surge defense. He also scored a touchdown in all but one game. In addition, Cole stood out as a returner, adding 914 return yards to his totals. With these numbers, many experts see him as a frontrunner for this year's Comeback Player of the Year Award.

Lessons learned from Munich
Cole, who played last season for the Munich Ravens, also reflected on that experience: "Actually, I took a lot from Coach Kendrall and the coaching staff. What it takes to be a team player, what it is to be vocal as an American import and the importance to really train hard and push for the guys around you. It was a great experience. I did learn a lot from the organization and like the players in there."
That is why the Ravens remain his favorite heading into the playoffs, which start this weekend: "How Munich build that camaraderie and chemistry and that just know you need to push deeper and that you can like go further if you have the team with each other. Their games just have been crazy this year, there been giddy games, and they are finishing them so. I want to see Munich in there for sure." The Ravens claimed the No. 2 seed and, with it, a first-round bye that sends them straight into the semifinals.
