Clark and Toonga - "It's been my privilege to work alongside these men"
Nordic Storm enters the European League of Football with two impressive blockbuster signings. The new team has just secured two of the league's top players from the reigning champions, Rhein Fire: Quarterback Jadrian Clark and running back Glen Toonga have both signed a one-year contract and will be the first players on the new team in the Nordic region.
"On all good teams, the best players are the hardest workers. Such is the case with Jadrian Clark and Glen Toonga. It has been my privilege to work alongside these men in the past and the Nordic Storm is excited to have their leadership, spirit, and production for the 2025 season”, says Head Coach John Shoop from Nordic Storm.
30-year-old Jadrian Clark and 29-year-old Glen Toonga have dominated the ELF for the past two seasons as key players for Rhein Fire. Jadrian Clark was named the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2023 and has been awarded the MVP of the final games for the past two consecutive years. Glen Toonga was named the league's MVP this year after setting impressive records with over 1,500 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns in the latest season. Now, the two star players are leaving Rhein Fire to make a mark in the Nordic region as the first players for the Nordic team.
"Jadrian Clark is extremely bright and capable of handling complex gameplans during the practice week and at the line of scrimmage on game day. He models excellent preparation on and off the field. The evidence is clear in his uncommon production throughout his career. Importantly, Jadrian is a great teammate who holds himself and others accountable. I am a better coach because of the time I’ve spent with him and look forward to working together again in 2025", explains Head Coach John Shoop.
"Glen Toonga’s production is a direct by-product of his work ethic on and off the field. Glen’s practice and workout habits are a model for all of his teammates. I have had the privilege of knowing Glen since 2022 and his hunger to improve every year is inspiring. I look forward to working alongside Glen to help him become the most complete player he’s capable of being as we lead the Nordic Storm into their inaugural season."
