For a game changer, it takes the right time to do the right thing. Chandler Jones, US-American cornerback of the Paris Musketeers, looked forward to being that kind of asset to his team against a balanced Frankfurt Galaxy offense. It took little time for him to get comfortable - while he had his hands full defending last year's Offensive Player of the Year, Markell Castle, on Sunday. At the beginning of the second quarter, Jones put up a statement towards Galaxy's offense, intercepting quarterback Luke Zahradkha in what would have been an easy first down over a slant to Castle. Body next to body, Jones impressed with physicality. Castle and Jones went back and forth in the game, with Castle scoring a touchdown over the head of Jones to gain momentum for the Germans.

Momentum shifts and play making opportunities

Not backing down, the Musketeers trusted in the ability of Jones as the prime opponent for Castle in 1on1-matchups. In the final drive for the Galaxy, it was on the defense to defend the passing attack with 91 yards and under a minute to go. A holding penalty on Jones, constantly matching up against Castle, gave the Galaxy a better field position to start things off. With an even bigger penalty for defensive pass interference, again against Chandler Jones, momentum shifted towards an immaculate comeback opportunity. Only until Markell Castle was targeted again on a dig-route on the right side, with the ball slipping through his hands. Jones, being at the right place at the right time, caught a second interception for the most important play of the game. From zero to hero, the Louisville alumni is and was one of the most important players on Sunday when his instincts kicked in.
