Only 100 days remain until the 2025 European League of Football Championship Game takes place — and this weekend’s clash between Rhein Fire and the Vienna Vikings is the perfect way to start the countdown.

It’s a game that many fans have been waiting for. Last season, these two teams met in the 2024 Championship Game, where Rhein Fire took the victory and became back-to-back champions. Now, they face off again in Gameweek 3, and both teams are still undefeated.

But for Vikings Head Coach Chris Calaycay, this is not about revenge.“It’s not a revenge game. Both teams are very different compared to last season,” he said. “It’s just a regular season game between two undefeated teams.”

Championship Game in Stuttgart

The 2025 ELF Championship Game will be played on Sunday, September 7 in Stuttgart’s MHP Arena. Just like last season, the ELF Honors ceremony will take place the day before, with awards given in categories such as MVP, Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and more.

With 100 days to go, it’s time for fans to mark their calendars and get their tickets. Will Rhein Fire return to defend their crown? Will the Vikings get another shot at the title? Or will a new team rise this season?
