The fans of the Wroclaw Panthers had to wait a long time, but now there is clarity: Dawid Brzozowski will continue to wear the jersey of the team from Poland next season.

The star running back signs a contract until the end of the year. Brzozowski is therefore facing his fourth season in the league. After his debut in 2022, he made his breakthrough in 2023. Last season, he achieved his second 1000+ rushing yards season in a row.

In the end, 1119 yards and eight touchdowns are in the books. The 23-year-old not only achieved the most rushing yards in his team, but also the third most in the ELF. The 2023 Homegrown Player of the Year will now stay with the Panthers for another season.

Homegrowns stay loyal to the Panthers

However, Brzozowski is not the only homegrown player with whom the team from Wroclaw is extending their contract. Wide receiver Przemysław Banat also remains a Panther. The 27-year-old already played for the team in 2021 and 2022. After a break, he returned in 2024 and took on a back-up role. During his 26 ELF games, he caught 77 passes for 1076 yards and 10 touchdowns.

In addition, the experienced offensive linemen Rafał Rogaczewski is extending his contract for another year. The 33-year-old was already playing for the Panthers when they joined the European League of Football in 2021. Since then, the Homegrown has remained loyal. Rogaczewski is a true force in the Panthers' O-line. He has started 40 of his 42 ELF games.

Meanwhile, Oskar Romaniuk has been confirmed for the defense. The defensive lineman also signed a new one-year contract. After joining the Panthers in 2023, the 33-year-old homegrown player has quickly earned himself a starting role. Last season, he secured 34 tackles, including 5.5 for loss and three sacks.

The Panthers are therefore keeping several important players. Potentially crucial moves that could finally get the team back into the playoffs.
