Heading into Week 4 of the ELF regular season, both the Madrid Bravos and the Fehérvár Enthroners had something to prove. The Bravos impressed early during the season with a 2–1 record. The former NFL quarterback Reid Sinnet led the ELF in passing yards (1000) through the first three weeks of the regular season, alongside his American wideout Aron Cruickshank (445) who led the league in receiving yards. Meanwhile, the Enthroners entered the matchup still seeking their first win, struggling to find consistency on both sides of the ball after an 0–3 start. With both teams at a pivotal point, Sunday’s game in Madrid set the stage for a defining showdown.
Madrid Bravos in mid-season form
The Madrid Bravos overwhelmed the Fehérvár Enthroners in Week 4 with a final score of 45–7, showcasing their dominance on both offense and defense. Quarterback Reid Sinnett led the charge, completing 19 of 28 passes for an impressive 431 yards and six touchdowns, solidifying his status as the ELF’s passing leader. Wide receiver Aron Cruickshank was a key target, recording eight receptions for 236 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bravos set the tone early, with German running back Justus Selig scoring the game’s first touchdown. Their defense was equally formidable, limiting the Enthroners to just 161 total yards and forcing multiple turnovers.
Can the Enthroners start to build momentum?
The Enthroners faced significant challenges, playing without their starting American quarterback Brock Domann, who has been sidelined since a Week 2 injury. Homegrown quarterback Máté Hegedus stepped in but was forced out for several plays as well due to injury following a sack by the Bravos. Overall, the Hungarian team struggled to find rhythm on offense throughout the entire game with only one touchdown on the board at end.
With this victory, the Bravos improve to 3–1, while the Enthroners fall to 0–4. Madrid’s balanced attack and stifling defense make them a formidable contender as the season progresses.
