Bravos name Lee Rose as new Defensive Coordinator
Felix Pahl
The Madrid Bravos continue shaping their coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season. After bringing back Head Coach Dave Warner and confirming Strength & Conditioning Coach Marcos de la Mata and Defensive Line Coach Darrell Meckley, the Bravos have now announced Lee Rose as their new Defensive Coordinator, making him the fourth confirmed coach on staff.
Returning in a new role
Rose is no stranger to the organization. He served as the Special Teams Coordinator for Madrid during the 2025 season and will now take on greater responsibility on the defensive side of the ball. His familiarity with the franchise and players should help ensure a smooth transition.

Coaching experience around the world
Before joining the Bravos, Rose gained coaching experience at multiple levels. The former Indiana University linebacker worked in various assistant coaching roles at American colleges and later served as a head coach internationally - including for the Warsaw Eagles in Poland and the Croydon Rangers in Australia.
Looking ahead
With Rose moving into a new role, the Bravos continue to build a staff capable of pushing the franchise forward in 2026. As preparations continue, Madrid looks to strengthen a defense expected to play a major role under Rose’s guidance.
