Bravos bring Diego Paz back to Madrid
Felix Pahl
The Madrid Bravos continue to build their roster for the 2026 season. After focusing primarily on their coaching staff, the team has now announced its first player signing for the new campaign: defensive lineman Diego Paz.
The Madrid native has been part of the European League of Football since 2023. After playing for the Barcelona Dragons in 2023, he joined the Bravos in 2024, where he impressed as a pass rusher - so much so that the Raiders Tirol brought him in for the 2025 season.

A proven playmaker returns home
Across 30 ELF games, Paz has recorded 51 tackles, 5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and 1 forced fumble. The Bravos struggled to generate consistent pressure in 2025, finishing with just 20 team sacks, ranking among the weakest pass-rushing units in the league.
By bringing Paz back to Madrid, the Bravos hope to strengthen their defensive line and improve their ability to pressure opposing quarterbacks.
Looking ahead
The signing of Diego Paz marks an important first step in shaping the Bravos’ 2026 roster. With more additions expected in the coming weeks, Madrid aims to build a more physical, disruptive defense capable of competing at a higher level next season.
