Bijon Harris - A game-changer on defense and special teams

The 2025 European League of Football season saw many new faces step into the spotlight, proving their skills and making a name for themselves. Familiar names like Ken Hike Jr. and Luke Glenna continued to perform at a high level, while new standouts such as Dijion Walls emerged as dangerous playmakers in the secondary.
But no defensive back turned more heads than one player who re-entered the league midseason - Bijon Harris.
A proven playmaker returns
At 175 cm and 73 kg, Harris may not be the biggest cornerback, but his production and impact speak for themselves. The American defensive back had already made waves in the 2024 season with the Cologne Centurions, playing a key role in their 6-6 record that year.
Despite joining the Centurions midseason, Harris was electric on defense - posting 11 pass deflections, 4 interceptions (including one returned for a touchdown), and 3 forced fumbles, one of which he also returned to the end zone.
However, his talent didn’t stop there. Harris was a major threat on special teams as well, returning two of nine punts for touchdowns. His all-around ability made him one of the league’s most complete and entertaining players to watch.

A second chance with Frankfurt
Surprisingly, Harris began the 2025 season without a team. It wasn’t until the Frankfurt Galaxy lost former NFL cornerback Channing Stribling to injury that Harris got another opportunity - and he made the most of it.
Joining the Galaxy for the final five games of the season, Harris immediately became a difference-maker. His arrival helped spark Frankfurt’s late push toward the playoffs, which narrowly fell short after a Week 14 loss to the Madrid Bravos.
In just five games, Harris recorded 3 interceptions, 5 pass deflections, and 1 forced fumble, once again proving his knack for creating turnovers. On special teams, he was equally unstoppable - racking up 321 punt return yards and 3 punt return touchdowns on just 11 returns.
One of the league’s best
Harris’s performance left no doubt - he is among the top defensive backs and returners the ELF has ever seen. His rare ability to change a game both on defense and special teams makes him an invaluable asset for any team.
As the 2026 season approaches, one thing seems clear: Bijon Harris deserves a roster spot. His track record of impact, consistency, and explosiveness has already made him one of the most respected playmakers in European football.
