Big signing for Rhein Fire: US Defensive Back Marloshawn Franklin Jr. joins the reigning European League of Football champion.

This signing was a reaction to Safety Darrius Nash's move to Injured Reserved List. Franklin Jr. got the free A-Spot in Rhein Fire's roster. 

The 27-year old American was part of Philadelphia Eagles’s practice squad (NFL). Via CFL he came to Europe in 2021, where he played for the Hamburg Sea Devils.

Back in the ELF

After one season in Europe he made his way back to Canada, where he recently played for the Edmonton Elks in the CFL. He gathered 28 tackles and one interception in eight games.

Now Franklin Jr. is back in the ELF and will try to help the Rhein Fire to make it to the Championship Game back to back.
