Big bang: Nordic Storm sign MVP’s Jadrian Clark and Glen Toonga

Big bang in the ELF: The Nordic Storm have made the biggest move of the off-season so far, bringing in ELF MVP’s quarterback Jadrian Clark and running back Glen Toonga to lead their offense for their first ever season in 2025. Clark and Toonga are reunited with Storm head coach John Shoop who was Rhein Fire’s quarterback coach last season.

Clark is coming off of back-to-back ELF titles with the Rhein Fire, the latter of which he spent with Storm head coach John Shoop. Clark has been one of the league’s best passers the past two seasons, especially winning the 2023 MVP and back-to-back Championship Game MVP awards.

"Building a Championship team in its first year, no words for that"

Last year, the 30-year-old threw for 2,215 and 27 touchdowns and only 8 interceptions. The previous season, the Rhein Fire relied on him more as he put up 3,586 yards and league record 53 touchdowns through the air. Clark currently ranks 2nd in the ELF’s all-time passing yards list with 11,293 yards.

Running back Glen Toonga is coming off of a record-breaking season where he rushed for 1,576 yards and a league record 30 touchdowns. Toonga took home the 2024 ELF MVP award for his phenomenal season and helped the Rhein Fire repeat as champions. Toonga is currently the league all-time leading rusher with 4,784 yards and touchdown scorer with 62.

Toonga is now keen on facing a new challenge at Nordic Storm: "Winning twice is great. But building a Championship team in its first year, no words for that.”

"We’re committed to creating something huge for Storm fans"

Clark and Toonga have played three out of four ELF seasons together, beginning in Hamburg with the Sea Devils in 2021 where they narrowly lost the Championship Game to Frankfurt Galaxy. After a year apart in 2022, Toonga joined Clark with the Rhein Fire, where they won back-to-back championships in 2023 and 2024.

"I’m really grateful for my time with Rhein Fire. The memories, the championships, and the friendships I made will always mean a lot to me. My main goals in the ELF have always been to win titles and help grow the sport across Europe. The opportunity to join the Nordic Storm and play football in such an incredible and fierce region is a dream come true. This is just the start, and we’re committed to creating something huge for Storm fans", says Jadrian Clark.

Two of the league's brightest stars are heading to Copenhagen/Mälmo to help the Nordic Storm make some noise in their first ever ELF season. With this blockbuster signings, the off-season is officially kicked off!
