Best homegrowns: Defenders leave their mark in week 10
In the ELF, homegrowns play an important role in the success of every franchise. In this segment, we take a look at the best perfomances of the week. In week 10, a bunch of defense players left their mark on the oppsoing offense and had to be included.
For the first time this season, the young running back surpassed 100 rushing yards in a single game. Against the Vienna Vikings, Adam Žouželka carried the rock just eight times, but gained 109 yards, tanks in part due to one carry for 50 yards. He also found the end zone twice.
The youngster was one of very few bright spots against the Austrian franchise.
On the other side, Noah Touré continues to make an impact and therefore continues to show up in this segment from time to time. The young wide receiver showed his big-play potential again, turning four catches into 104 yards and two touchdowns.
Touré is now up to 688 yards and seven touchdowns and has established himself as yet another weapon for the Vikings offense.
But it was not just the offense, that stood out with homegrown talent. The Vienna pass rush found their way to the opposing quarterback multiple times. In total, the Lions quarterback was brought down to the ground seven times.
With sacks coming from the likes of homegrown talents like Leo Misangumukini, Marvin Wappl or Florian Gruensteidl.
In his debut season in the ELF, Adam Dobkowski has put in a solid rookie campaign. Against the Enthroners, the young linebacker once again played his part in the defense. He had a sack and one and a half tackles for loss.
In total, he is now up to six sacks on the season. A nice start for his ELF career.

Another player from a German secondary also stood out. Against the Paris Musketeers, cornerback Jannik Seibel had six tackles, an interception and a pass breakup. In a highly anticipated matchup, the Musketeers offense struggled the whole game, thanks in part due to Seibel and his perfomance.
In his third season for Rhein Fire, Seibel now has 27 tackles, three tackles for loss, three pass breakups, a forced fumble and an interception.
