Fehérvár Enthroners wide receiver Jon Cole had a special season in 2025. Even though his team only won one game, Cole’s impact on and off the field was huge. His performances and leadership earned him the Comeback Player of the Year Award at the ELF Honors.
Fighting for a chance
In an interview with First Down Magazine, Cole described the start of his journey as difficult: "From the beginning of the year like not having options, no teams, it was like a hard task, but when the team gave me a chance, I just wanted to give them everything I had to change the team with my mind, body, physical ability, be able to motivate them and it just was an unbelievable year."
He became not only a playmaker but also a motivator for his teammates, showing what hard work and persistence can achieve.

A blessing recognized
For Cole, the award meant more than just numbers on the stat sheet. It was a recognition of his resilience: "To get the Comeback Player of the Year award is just a blessing in itself, so just all the hard work that nobody ever sees and the pain that you go through, it’s nice to get it recognized."

In only nine games, Cole was among the top receivers in the league, scoring 12 touchdowns and also making an impact as a returner. His energy and determination lifted the Enthroners and gave fans moments to celebrate in a tough season.
