2025 ELF Honors Predictions: Coach of the Year
Alex Malchow

The ELF’s coach of the year award is always an extra interesting one. This year’s group of coaches across the ELF is probably the strongest the league has seen yet as several coaches bring decades of NFL, CFL, and D1 College football experience to the European game.
Let’s take a look at the likely candidates for the award:
Dave Warner - Prague Lions
Warner spent last season as offensive coordinator for the Madrid Bravos. This year he’s taken the Prague Lions to new heights as they fight for a playoff spot with two weeks of play to go. The Lions currently sit on a 6-4 record after winning only 2 games the previous two seasons. A truly impressive turnaround.
John Schoop - Nordic Storm
The former NFL and D1 coach has led the expansion Nordic Storm to a 9-1 record in their first ever season. Schoop also led the Munich Ravens in their first ever season back in 2023, however this year has gone even better as the Storm look to be one of the league's best teams heading into the playoffs.
Kendral Ellison - Munich Ravens
The long time ELF coach might have his best team around him yet. The Ravens are 9-1 on the season and just clinched the south division. Ellison hopes to push the ravens to the next level in search of his first ELF title.
Chris Calaycay - Vienna Vikings
Calacay took home “Coach of the year” last season as the Vikings were perfect until the championship game. This year with a much tougher schedule the Vikings have only one loss with a 9-1 record heading into the post season and are once again East Division champs.
