Raiders Tirol sign scoring leader of the GFL in Jarvis McClam

After they were able to extend some homegrown players, another difference maker follows with Jarvis McClam.

With Jarvis McClam, the Raiders Tirol welcome the first US-American import for the new season of the European League of Football. The 28-year-old wide receiver was most recently under contract with the Cologne Crocodiles in the German Football League, where he totaled 157 rushing yards for five touchdowns and 79 receptions for 981 yards and 16 touchdowns in twelve GFL games. This earned him "All-Star" honors, and he was also the scoring leader in the entire league.

"I am ready to get to work"

For McClam, athletic advancement to the European League of Football follows. "I'm looking forward to being part of the Raider family. I'm ready to get to work and be a leader on and off the field," McClam explains.

Between 2013 and 2017, the 1,85 m pass catcher was a part of the Seton Hill University Griffins, who play at the NCAA Division II level. There, McClam, who was used as a running back, wide receiver and returner, both set the school record for most rushing yards in a game (11 carries for 291 yards, three touchdowns) and accounted for the longest kick return with 93 yards. In all, he totaled 5,512 yards, for 32 touchdowns (16 rushing, 12 receiving, one passing, three returning) and received College All-Conference First Team-honors (2015, 2017) and Don Hansen's All Super Region I Team-honors (2015, 2017).

Head coach Kevin Herron: "I am very excited to see Jarvis in the Silver and Black. He is an absolute playmaker and super exciting to watch. When he has the ball in his hands, it can always lead to a touchdown. He's going to provide a lot of spectacular scenes next season. I can already say that. Because he is hungry, like everyone here! Welcome to the Raiders Family!"

McClam is the fourth offensive player on the 2023 roster after the extension of running back Tobias Bonatti, Offensive Rookie of the Year Marco Schneider and offensive tackle Steven Nielsen.
