"Rookie of the Year" Marco Schneider re-signs with Tirol Raiders
The Raiders are quietly building their squad and bringing a top performer back to Tirol with the "Rookie of the Year".
The Tirol Raiders are bringing their speedy wide receiver Marco Schneider back into the Alps next year. The "Rookie of the Year" of the 2022 season in the European League of Football also signs for 2023. With 1.70 m and 80 kg, he is one of the smaller receivers in the league, but also one of the better ones. As a slot receiver, he was irreplaceable for the Raiders.
High praises for a talented receiver
"Marco is a very special talent. His football IQ, toughness, and willingness to be great is a coaches dream. I trust him to take on any challenge and I'm looking forward to taking this next step with him on my side," commented Kyle Callahan, Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Coach of the Year 2022.

Winner on the football field
The 21-year-old receiver already won the Austrian Bowl in 2019 and in 2021 and the CEFL Bowl (club championship) in 2019 with the Swarco Raiders. The Austrian is excited to be part of the Raiders again. "I'm very excited to be a part of the Raiders family again. There's still unfinished business to take care of. Go Raiders," Schneider commented on his signing.
