Week 13 MVP Race

Week 13 of the ELF caused a minor shake-up in the MVP Race.
Frontrunners:
There is no debate that Jadrian Clark has this one wrapped-up. The Rhein Fire quarterback set a new single-season passing yards record (3387) last week and threw for his 50th touchdown of the season against the Helvetic Guards. With a TD/INT ratio of 50 to seven and a passer rating of 128.68 on the season, Clark is heads and shoulders above the competition.
Markell Castle keeps on making strides towards the single-season receiving yards record. After recording 10 catches for 186 yards and a touchdown against the Seamen on Saturday, the Ravens’ receiver needs 111 yards against the Dragons to set a new ELF record. By leading the league in receptions, scoring 14 touchdowns and being on track to set a new record, Castle has proven to be the best signing of the off season.
Even though the Barcelona Dragons’ season has been going downhill since Week 3, there is one beacon of hope for the Spanish franchise: Standout safety Luke Glenna. The 23-year-old has established himself as arguably the best safety in the European League of Football and just keeps on delivering. After another great performance last weekend, Glenna still leads the ELF in tackles while also being efficient in coverage, recording four interceptions and seven pass break-ups on the season.
In the hunt:
Aaron Jackson has been an undercover contender for MVP the whole season, but by now he has a legitimate case to be among the top three candidates. Despite only playing in 10 games, the Thunder all-purpose monster ranks second in receiving TDs, fifth in receptions and sixth in receiving yards, while also ranking second in return yards and touchdowns. Jackson has proven to be a difference maker this season and could be nominated for multiple awards.
Even though the Helvetic Guards were picked apart by Jadrian Clark in the first half of Sunday’s game, Maceo Beard was not the one to blame. The 23-year-old Frenchman is still leading the league with his single-season record eight interceptions, while also having 11 pass break-ups to his name.
