Surge add an experienced European veteran

Della Vecchia has played for several top teams across Europe. His career began with the Rhinos Milano (2014–2017), followed by stints with the Giants Bolzano (2018–2019), the Parma Panthers (2021), and the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns (2022). He previously suited up for the Stuttgart Surge in 2023, where he recorded 19 total tackles, including 8 solo stops in just five games.

One of his standout moments came during the 2021 European Championship final, where he finished as one of the top tacklers in the game.

A championship mentality

Della Vecchia has a proven track record of success. His accolades include two Italian Bowl Championships (2016, 2021), a CEFL Bowl Championship (2022), and a German Bowl title (2022). His return adds valuable championship experience and leadership to the Surge defense.

As the 2025 season approaches, the Surge are counting on Della Vecchia to be a key figure on and off the field — a true veteran presence in their quest for greatness.
