Stuttgart Surge has announced another new addition to their offense. The team is expanding its running game with the recruitment of running back Albert Wiesigstrauch. The agile runner has been part of the ELF since 2022.
He has played 28 games for the Berlin Thunder so far. His breakthrough into the Berlin starting roster came in the 2024 season, in which he appeared 12 times and scored nine touchdowns for the Thunder.
He now wants to take the next step in his career in Stuttgart: “I want to be the best player I can be. I want to continue to develop in Stuttgart and learn from my teammates. I will do everything I can to help the team on and off the pitch - both as a player and as a person.
Wiesigstrauch is looking forward to the start of the 2025 season at the Stuttgart Surge: “I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and being part of a great team. Let's go, Surge!” It will be a special season for Stuttgart Surge. After all, the Championship Game 2025 will take place on September 7th in the MHP Arena in Stuttgart.
