With less than a month to go before the start of the season, the Raiders Tirol have added another import player to their roster. Miche Vandekerkhof will now strengthen the defensive line of the Austrian franchise.
Last season, Vandekerkhof played for the New Yorker Lions in the German Football League. In 12 games, he recorded 26 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery. His solid performances made him stand out as a dependable defensive lineman.
A strong defense gets even better
In 2024, the Raiders Tirol had one of the strongest defenses in the ELF. They allowed the sixth fewest points and the fifth fewest yards in the league. With the addition of Vandekerkhof, the Raiders are adding more strength and depth to an already tough defensive unit.
“First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to continue playing the game I love. I’m excited to join the Raiders Tirol and compete at the highest level in Europe. Let’s get to work, Go Raiders!” Vandekerkhof said.
