Meeting between European League of Football and International Federation of American Football

The European League of Football and IFAF will go hand in hand in the future.

The leadership of the European League of Football and the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) met over two days in Hamburg last week to explore areas of cooperation to support the growth and development of the game in Europe.

Patrick Esume, Commissioner of the European League of Football: "We are very pleased to have sat down with IFAF, the leading international football association, as the governing body of international football. This positive exchange is the next step we have taken to further promote our sport together internationally and build directly on our meeting."

Pierre Trochet, President of the International Federation of American Football: “I would like to thank the European League of Football for hosting us in Hamburg. As football continues to grow and develop in Europe, IFAF is committed to exploring opportunities that positively promote the game. Following our productive meeting, we have established a framework in which our member European nations can participate to establish a potential future relationship with the European League of Football.”

With champions Vienna Vikings, Raiders Tirol from Austria, finalists Hamburg Sea Devils, Berlin Thunder, Rhein Fire, Cologne Centurions, Stuttgart Surge, Frankfurt Galaxy, Munich Ravens and Leipzig Kings from Germany, Wrocław Panthers (Poland), the Barcelona Dragons (Spain), Paris Musketeers (France), Fehérvár Enthroners (Hungary), the Milano Seamen (Italy) Prague Lions (Czech Republic) and the Helvetic Guards (Switzerland), the league is present in nine countries with 17 teams. All franchises have one big goal: The Championship Game in Duisburg on September 24.
