Mathys Dupont: Late redemption for the Paris kicker

Overtime, 12-12, fourth down, playoffs on the line, season on the line. The stage could not have been bigger, as kicker Mathys Dupont stepped onto the field for the Paris Musketeers against the Madrid Bravos. 

After a long and hard-fought game, which saw the Musketeers score the game-tying touchdown in the last seconds, the young frenchmen had the chance to secure the victory. Just as he was about to kick, the Bravos iced him, giving him even more time to think about the potential game-deciding kick.

Dupont had missed the extra point after the game-tying touchdown, thus sending the game in overtime, and also had one extra point blocked. However, he remained calm as he stepped up for his third kick of the day. Third times a charm and Dupont put the ball through the uprights. 

As the team stormed onto the field, celebrating their victory ninth victory of the season and thus securing their playoff spot, "Dupont" chants were song from the stands. A nice redemption for a player and a position group, who does not get the spotlight often.
