Hamburg Sea Devils sign British defensive end Michael Keshinro

With Michael Keshinro, the Hamburg Sea Devils have signed a defensive end to support their line. The 1.98 m tall, 110 kg athlete comes from the Marburg Mercenaries in the GFL, where he was responsible for 7 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss last year and was one of the best defensive players in the league.

The 26-year-old comes from Hackney in the UK and played for both Keele Crusaders (2016-2020) and Essex Spartans (2020-2022) in his home country. Now he's going quarterback hunting for the Sea Devils. "This time last year, I was struggling to find a team that wanted to give me a chance. And now, a year later, I'm playing for the biggest organization in Europe. Giving up was never an option for me - that's exactly the attitude I bring to the court. I'm obsessed with becoming the best. I'm not just coming to the ELF to play a small role, I'm determined to make sure opposing quarterbacks fear my name and my face," Keshinro said.

A monster arriving in Hamburg

Miguel Boock, Director of Sports: "Michael is an absolute upgrade for our D-line. He has exactly the physical attributes we were looking for and has already shown his potential in the GFL. I'm really looking forward to seeing the impact he will have on our defense." Having Brandon Noble as defensive coordinator and former NFL defensive lineman could certainly help his development.
