After signing deadline: New faces emerge

The signing deadline is behind us, the franchises in the ELF were very active in the last few weeks - especially in the last week. They signed some new faces and also brought back some familiar ones. In week 10, a couple of the new signings already stepped into major roles. Let's take a look at some of the perfomances.

Eystin Salum, quarterback, Milano Seamen

The Milano Seamen were beaten 30-69 by the Munich Ravens, but still showed some positive signs on offense - in part due to quarterback Eystin Salum. The successor to Zack Bronkhorst, who was introduced during the week, had to deal with one of the best defenses in the league without much preparation.

Obviously, five interceptions are not pretty and show, that there is still a lot to improve for him and the Seamen offense. However, he also showed off his dual-threat ability. Salum threw for 179 passing yards and three touchdowns and rushed 73 yards and another touchdown.

New duo for the Helvetic Mercenaries

The Swiss franchise welcomed a new duo during last week, signing both quarterback DeAndre Clayton and wide receiver Terryon Robinson. The duo immediately showed their chemistry and kept the offense rolling during the 28-42 loss to the Raiders Tirol.

Clayton completed 14 out of his 25 passes for 252 passing yards and two touchdowns, with only one interception to his name. On the receiving end, Robinson led the team in catches (eight), receiving yards (138) and touchdowns (two). Not a bad start for the promising duo.

Cinque Sweeting, offensive weapon, Raiders Tirol

Those, who paid attention in this matchup, also noticed Cinque Sweeting on the other side of the ball. A wide receiver on paper, the dynamic playmaker showed off his talents in both the running and receiving game, making him one of the key players in this clash. He turned five carries into 32 rushing yards and seven catches into 98 yards and a touchdown.

The new signing seems to be a sweet addition to an already good offense.
