Running back Meril Zéro joins the Paris Musketeers

The Paris Musketeers have found their starting running back in the European League of Football.

The Paris Musketeers have signed Meril Zéro, a French running back who most recently made a splash in the GFL. Zéro previously played for the Berlin Rebels, earning GFLAll-Star honors in 2022, and is considered one of the best local heroes of the upcoming season. Last season, he amassed 846 yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games as the third-best rusher in Germany. For the Musketeers, Zéro was a must-sign.

"Dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands"

Head coach Marc Mattioli: „Meril is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands. He has great speed and change of direction, and also has the balance and vision to make defenders miss. Meril came to our camp in November and stood out. He can run between the tackles, but also has the acceleration and speed to get to the edge and into the open field. He is also a legitimate receiving threat out of the backfield which allows him to create matchup issues for defenses in the passing game. I am very excited about him being on our team.”

Have you seen this yet?

The 26-year-old is 1,83 m and brings 85 kg of strength to the backfield around Zach Edwards. Offensively, the Musketeers are in excellent shape for the upcoming season. Will it be enough for a playoff run?
