New RB coach and O-line addition for Nordic Storm

Nordic Storm makes the next personnel decisions. This time, the ambitious franchise is working on its rushing game. 

On the one hand, Andre Persson was presented as the new running back coach. "I'm very excited to be leading an incredibly talented RB group, and I can't wait to get to work with them", explains Persson.

The newest addition to the coaching staff, started playing American Football himself back in 2006. Over the years he played in various positions, mostly as quarterback, Wide Receiver and Tight end. His coaching career began in 2015, while still playing himself. 

At the age of just 17, Persson started as the Offensive Coordinator of the Kristianstad Predators U15 team. Since then, he has held various coaching positions with the Predators' youth teams, including jobs as Offensive Coordinator and Head coach. Since 2023 Person also is the WR Coach for the Swedish Youth National Team. Persson als is board member of the Kristianstad Predators since 2022.

Addition to the Offensive Line

Storm also invested in their offensive line to create space for the running back room around superstar Glen Toonga. Offensive Linemen Love Larsson will wear the jersey of the team from the north in the upcoming season.

"Such an honor to be part of the start-up of the first ELF Nordic Team", explains Larsson. The 24-years-old adds: "I’m super excited to get to play with the big boys and show everyone what I’m capable of, and with the help of coach McCusker I’m ready to take my football to the next level."

The experienced Linemen started his career in 2017 with the Sollentuna Stars. Here he played until 2019, including earning the title Offensive player of the year in 2018. The 2020 season, Larsson played with the Stockholm Mean Machines. After that, he took a little break, to focus on coaching u13 and u15 teams. In 2022, he played four games for the Upplandsbro Broncos, just to return to the Mean Machines in 2023.

"Losing Love is, of course, a tough loss for us, but at the same time, we are happy for him and see this as a natural step in his development", explains Stockholm Mean Machines head coach Fredrik Hansson. Larsson's former coach continue: "He has been an important part of our team, and we are proud to have been part of his journey. We always support our players when they seek new challenges – it’s part of the game. At the same time, we hope that Love will one day return to us after his adventure. We wish him the best of luck in this new opportunity and look forward to following his continued progress!"

Larsson and his new team facing an exciting first season in the European League of Football. After numerous promising signings, the expectations already have rising.
