ELF x Sports Metrics Top 100 Graded Players - Nos. 100 - 91
Florian Puth

In the coming month of April, we will be releasing the top 100 graded players of the 2024 season according to sportsmetrics. The grades reflect the individual's performance on the field.
The SportsMetrics evaluation system analyzes the performance of players and teams across games and seasons using weighted, category-based statistics, scales these using a mathematical function and takes position-specific comparisons into account. A detailed explanation of the methodology and its limitations can be found here.
Today we take a look at the rankings 100-91.
#100: Benjamin Straight
The experienced strong safety of the Vienna Vikings also delivered a powerful performance in his third season in the league. Straight recorded 48 tackles, seven pass deflections and four interceptions. Performances that were rewarded with a new contract in the offseason.

#99: Richard Grooten
Homegrown Grooten also delivered. The 31-year-old made a big impact in his first season with the Cologne Centurions. He was an important part of the Cologne backfield.

#98: Jannik Loercks
Next homegrown, next player for the Cologne Centurions. Wide receiver Jannik Loercks collected over 500 yards and four touchdowns last season. This made the 24-year-old an important target for quarterback Isaiah Weed.
#97: Matthew McKay
The Frankfurt Galaxy quarterback was one of the key players in the squad of the 2021 ELF Champions. But even McKay could not prevent the 4-8 losing record. During the offseason the US-Import signed another contract with Galaxy.

#96: Jean-Claude Madin Cerezo
At the start of his ELF career, Jean-Claude Madin Cerezo was able to shine with the Hamburg Sea Devils. Last season, he tried a new adventure with the Madrid Bravos. The 32-year-old also impressed as a starter in Spain, with over 600 receiving-yards and seven touchdowns. In the offseason, Madin Cerezo returned to the Sea Devils.

#95: Eric Schlomm
Eric Schlomm is one of the best kickers in the ELF. The team will continue to rely on the services of the 33-year-old next season in order to achieve the big goal to bring the Sea Devils back in the playoffs.

#94: Hiswill Awuah
The next spot goes to an absolute powerhouse: Hiswill Awuah. The Munich Ravens' homegrown defensive tackle caused headaches for some running backs as a good run stopper last season. The 2021 DROY nominee already made it into the Top 100 list in 2023. At that time, he was ranked 12th.
#93: Florian Bierbaumer
The Austrian and former NFL IPP participant is one of the best tight ends in Europe. So it's no wonder that the Vienna Vikings extended the 26-year-old's contract.

#92: Alexander Spillum
The free safety has been in the European League of Football for two years, and for two years he has delivered. Spillum was an important part of the Berlin Thunder's secondary as a starter. He contributed over 70 tackles, three interceptions and two pass deflections.
#91: Leon Helm
At position 91 is a fullback. The position group is quickly overlooked, but plays an important role in the running game. Leon Helm, from Stuttgart Surge, knows exactly what that feels like.
