2023 Outlook - Milano Seamen have great starting position
While the 2022 European League of Football season is in full swing, the new teams are already preparing for the 2023 season.
Milano Seamen will be the first and for now the only Italian in the 2023 European League of Football. Now, the first steps have been made. As the franchise said, "the Seamen have taken the decisive step that will bring them into the European professional league. At the end of a careful process of verification of the club's managerial skills, technical facilities, athletic staff and, last but not least, financial solidity."
And the home stadium is also already in place. The well-known Velodromo Vigorelli will host the Seamen's future home games. Built in 1935 and renovated several times, the stadium offers just under 9,000 seats for football enthusiasts. With the skyline in the background, it is probably one of the prettiest and, with the Cycling track, one of the most unusual stadiums in the league.
In addition to joining the European League of Football, the Seamen announced to withdraw from the first Italian league, but to further promote youth work.
According to a press release, "the Seamen have decided to consolidate relations with the Frogs, to which all those who will not find space on the European League of Football roster will be destined in the upcoming first division championship." So, similar to the Vienna Vikings, there will be an offshoot of the franchise in the first Italian division to provide positions for players.
Directly on October 1st this year, the Seamen start the first try-out. Players can register at the following link: https://forms.gle/YuHjYBMBewZaiwLJ6.
American football is growing in Italy and with the Seamen, we can expect high-quality football from next year on in the best European League.
