One of the biggest talents in all of Europe will return to the Stuttgart Surge in 2024. Left tackle Luca Jokiel is coming back for his second season in the ELF.

Local talent with rare physical traits

The 24-year-old started playing football in 2016 with the Heidelberg Hunters, where he stayed until 2022. Despite playing in the third and fourth Division for most of his career, Jokiel put scouts on notice early, thanks to his height of 2,04 meters and weight of 149 kilograms. The huge offensive tackle was already invited to the NFL International Combine in 2022.

From newcomer to superstar

Jokiel was one of the brightest young stars in the ELF in 2023. In his first season at the highest level in Europe, Jokiel started at left tackle for the Surge and was one of the best offensive linemen of the past season. He was selected as a Second-Team All-Star and yet again participated at the NFL International Combine. With the size of an NFL starter, the sky is the limit for the 24-year-old and another season of reps on the highest level might be enough to fulfill the dream of playing in the NFL.
