Roster changes and transfers

With the official start of the pre-season on April 20, all teams are now able to bring in all players of their roster – including import players. Before that, just homegrown players were allowed to practice with the team. All players practicing with the team must be licensed by the league. Teams cannot make changes to the official roster after the conclusion of Week 9. Don’t get fooled: Expect changes in the roster in the next few weeks. A total of 65 players – including ten import players – can be signed to a European League of Football roster.

53 will end up in an active roster. Keep an eye on Jarvis McClam, former Raiders Tirol wide receiver, in Hamburg or Alejandro Fernandez being back in Spain with the Madrid Bravos. Highlights will likely follow.

Football Pre-Season action and kick-off

All teams of the European League of Football are able to organize combined practices or scrimmages with other teams, if they want. Yet, no scrimmages were announced. To kick off the season, the European League of Football will feature seven games in Week 1 on May 25th and 26th.

New ELF teams in 2024

After the third expansion in three years, just one franchise will go into its first real pre-season. The Madrid Bravos will work towards the European League of Football championship for the first time. In Switzerland, the Helvetic Guards got replaced by the Helvetic Mercenaries. Now it's for you to decide: Who is your team?
