No playoffs: Will the Enthroners sign a new QB?
Florian Puth

The 2025 season in the European League of Football is one to forget for the Fehervar Enthroners. After Week 9, the team from Hungary is officially eliminated from the playoffs with a record of 0-8.
Behind what at first glance appears to be a disaster, there's much more. Despite their misery, the Enthroners have not lost their fighting spirit. Week after week, they put a lot of energy and effort into the game and fight until the very end. They do not give up, but want to achieve their first win of the season every week, despite the setbacks.
One of these setbacks is the injury to starting quarterback Brock Domann. The American, who played at Division 1 college Louisville, is out for the rest of the season. Both sides agreed to part ways.

Will the Enthroners sign a new quarterback?
The team has not signed a replacement yet. Homegrown signal caller Máté Hegedüs took over against the Madrid Bravos and did a solid job. Hegedüs completed just over half of his passes for over 200 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception.
In the end, it wasn't enough against the strong Bravos, who are still on course for the playoffs. The Enthroners lost 22:49 and once again put up a tough fight. Now those responsible have to make a decision: Will another US quarterback be signed for the last games of the season, with no hope of making the playoffs, or will Hegedüs continue to get the chance as a homegrown player?
But regardless of how this decision turns out, the Enthroners will fight either way. In week 10, the team will have its next chance to secure its well-deserved first win of the season against the Prague Lions.
