Two teams that have already been eliminated from the playoffs can't deliver an exciting game? Far from it. Hamburg Sea Devils at Berlin Thunder is about more than that: it's about honor. Both teams had an unsatisfactory season, but an exciting finale.

Hamburg Sea Devils (3-9) at Berlin Thunder (3-9): 56:44

Quarterback Jakeb Sullivan and his receiver Niklas Schumm put Thunder on track early on, demonstrating a strong passing game and achieving a two-touchdown lead. The Hamburg Sea Devils required a few minutes to find their rhythm. Then the offense, led by the strong rookie running back Carlton Aiken, began to gain momentum. And how!

Touchdowns from running back Chrisman Kyei and receivers Zinedin Bendjabou and Terryon Robinson give the Hamburg Sea Devils a sweet ending to a season full of ups and downs. Quarterback Carlton Aiken finishes the game with 268 passing yards, 141 rushing yards, and 7 total touchdowns. Star defender Kyle Kitchens scores two tackles, including one for loss, in his second game against his old franchise.

Helvetic Mercenaries (0-12) at Prague Lions (7-5): 12:69

Even though the Prague Lions missed the playoffs, the team from the Czech Republic can look back on the 2025 season of the European League of Football with great confidence. After all, it was a historic one. For the first time since joining the league in 2023, the Prague Lions finished the season with a positive record of 7-5.

To achieve this, a clear victory over the Helvetic Mercenaries was necessary. The Swiss got into the game too late and made early defensive and offensive mistakes, which were immediately punished. The Mercenaries underwent a major turnaround during the season, from which they found it difficult to recover. Nevertheless, the team of head coach Marcus Herford showed fighting spirit, even if it was not enough in the end.

Quarterback Javarian Smith once again excelled for Prague, putting in a strong performance with 131 passing, 39 rushing yards and five total touchdowns. All-purpose weapon William Patterson was once again everywhere, scoring three touchdowns in the first quarter alone. Overall, he collected 294 rushing, 25 receiving yards and five total touchdowns. The American also lost three more touchdowns and numerous yards due to penalties. Wide receiver Matyas Bily was unstoppable on deep routes, making it difficult for the Mercenaries from the start. The homegrown collected 74 yards and two touchdowns.
