The Frankfurt Galaxy are one of the best teams in the European League of Football and currently sit at a record of 4-1. With their win over the Milano Seamen, the 2021 European League of Football Champion looks ready to get into the playoffs once again.

Although the Galaxy have a lot of great players on their roster, one wide receiver made a name for himself in Week 6 by catching four total touchdowns against the Seamen: Nico Strahmann. The German wide receivers came out firing against the Italian franchise and had a big impact on the game. But maybe this just the beginning.

WR Strahmann: “There is not really a better feeling”

“Winning in this league does not come easy and it takes a team effort to win games,” Nico Strahmann points out in an interview. ”Without everyone on this team doing their job I would not have scored those touchdowns. To have this big of an impact and to have a career game like this was truly special. It’s for sure something I will remember for a long time! There is not really a better feeling!“

So far, Strahmann produced five total touchdowns on 22 catches while being targeted 34 times. With his five touchdowns, Strahmann more than doubled his scores compared to last season over a span of just five games already.

Can the Galaxy repeat their success of 2021?

„My goal is to win another championship for my hometown,” the Frankfurt Galaxy wide receiver commented in an interview. „I am focusing on being the best teammate and player week in and week out to help my team win games. There is not a certain stat line I am chasing or a season goal that I have for myself, for me it‘s all about winning.“

The reigning MVP of the Week currently is on pace to reach the playoffs with his team because of Galaxy’s 4-1 record. After losing against Rhein Fire in Week 1, the Galaxy started a four-game winning streak on their way to another post-season berth.

When asked if Frankfurt has what it takes to win the European League of Football Championship Game again in 2023, Strahmann did not hesitate to answer. “We have what it takes. We know that as a team, as a organization and as a fanbase,” the young wide receiver commented. ”This team is talented, and we have everything in place to be a great team. We just have to go out and prove it week by week.“
