The Prague Lions have signed record-holding kicker Marek Hruboň, as the franchise announced on Tuesday. The 28-year-old kicker and punter is known for his long-driving punts and accurate kicks throughout the Czech Republic.

Now, the talented specialist will take his talents to the European League of Football where he is going to suit up for the Prague Lions. With a made 57-yard field goal attempt back in 2019, the Czech special teamer would have scored the longest field goal of the 2022 season as Berlin Thunder kicker Jonas Schenderlein hammered a 56-yard field goal through the uprights last season.

HC Harrod: "He's a key part of the puzzle for us!"

“I watched Marek [Hruboň] kick, and punt, for several years at a level that was unmatched even here in Europe,“ Lions head coach Zach Harrod commented on his latest addition to the team. “He stepped away from the game for a couple years, but I’m excited to see him come back to be part of Czech’s team in the European League of Football. He’s a key part to the puzzle for us!“

As far as he resumes goes, Hruboň is used to winning. From 2014 until 2018, the 192cm tall kicker has won the CAAF in five consecutive years. Will he bring the same winning-pedigree to the Lions in 2023?
