The Panthers announce a change for 2023. Jakub Samel, who was previously active as head coach, will now take over the newly created position of sports director. Similar to Björn Werner in Berlin.

"It is a completely new experience for me and the whole organization. My main task will be to create a long-term strategy for all football departments in our organization and the best environment for our players to develop and achieve their best results," Samel said of the change.

Knowledge for the new position

Having been named Podyum's 2020 Coach of the Year, Samel plans to put that knowledge to direct use. His knowledge should be "a great help, especially when working with the new head coach of the first team. Thanks to my experience, I will be able to understand much better what his expectations are and how I can best and most effectively help him achieve his athletic goals", mentioned.
