Why should I support the Berlin Thunder?

It was the Berlin Thunder franchise that finished 3-8 last season, still having one of the better defenses despite facing injuries from early on. But it is the same Berlin Thunder that might be young and talented enough to change everything in the upcoming season.
With the influence of former German NFL player Björn Werner, now sports director and co-owner, the mentality, habits and also personell changed to the better. With strong signings in the off-season and an ongoing underdog-mentality, the Thunder might catch everybody by surprise.
Local talents like tight end Nicolai Schumann and wide receiver Robin Wilzeck not only come with physicality, but also with enough will to have breakout years. Led by quarterback Joe Germinerio, the franchise could be a contender for the next Championship Game and maybe push players into the NFL.
