Former NFL and NFL Europe offensive lineman Peter Heyer will help the Cologne Centurions with their offensive line as a coach in 2022!

The Cologne Centurions signed offensive line coach Peter Heyer for the 2022 season, as reported by the team.

"I hold Peter Heyer in high regard as a person, player and coach. One of the most competent coaches - I know our offensive line is in the best hands with him and I'm incredibly looking forward to working with him”, Centurions head coach Frank Roser explained, according to the Centurions press statement.

Heyer was an active offensive lineman in the NFL Europe for Rhein Fire in the early 2000’s. He later moved on to become one of the first German players in the NFL when he trained with the New Orleans Saints, St. Louis Rams, and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cologne Centurions general manager David Drane commented on the signing of Peter Heye as well: "Peter Heyer is one of the greatest offensive lineman who came out of Germany”.

Now, Heyer is going to work with some of the best offensive lineman in the European League of Football to help the Centurions reach back-to back playoffs.
