The Prague Lions have signed veteran receiver Willie Patterson for the 2025 season. The 26-year old receiver and return man brings with him ELF Championship experience and a impressive playmaking pedigree. 

The 26-year old ELF veteran has played for the Rhein Fire and Madrid Bravos in his international career, after a stellar career at Montana State University at the NCAA Division I FCS level. During his NCAA career, Patterson was named all-conference catching 44 passes for 626 yards and nine touchdowns as he led his Bobcats to the FCS title game and semi-final in consecutive seasons. 

Championship experience

Patterson has been a dangerous receiver and return man since entering the ELF in 2023. After signing late in the season with the Rhein Fire, Patterson put up 30 catches, 506 yards and 6 touchdowns, while adding 60 yards and a touchdown as a rusher. As a return man he put up 500 yards and two touchdowns in only 6 games. Overall Patterson made waves with nine touchdowns and 1,066 all-purpose yards in a very limited sample of games. 

A leader in Madrid 

For his first full season in the ELF patterson was a standout for the expansion Madrid Bravos helping them defeat his old team the Rhein Fire and even make the post-season in thier first ever season. Patterson had several signature moments in 2024 both as a receiver, returner, and even quarterback at times. Patterson continued to impress as a overall playmaker with 1,578 all purpose yards and 8 total touchdowns. Patterson finished 8th in the league as far as receiving yards with 869 and five scores. He also added 272 yards and two scores as a rusher along with 427 yards and one score as a return man. 

Madrid East?

Patterson joins his 2024 teammate from the Bravos Ja'len Embry as two of the four American imports in Prague will come from last seasons Bravos. Of course the Lions new head coach Dave Warner was a the offensive coordinator for the Bravos in 2024.
