American CB Richardson II ready for the All-Star Game

Richardson II: “Fans should expect great quality football on the field”

The US Federation National Team is stacked with playmakers. One of them is former Tulsa and West Florida product David Richardson II: “I'm very excited to play against Europe's finest”.

“I played my first season in Europe this summer with the Budapest Wolves in Hungary”, cornerback Richardson II commented. Now, he is ready and excited to take on the European League of Football All-Star Team in Berlin.

“The European League of Football is the best league in Europe right now. I've been following the league since it was announced”, Richardson explained. “The Team USA had a chance to watch the European League of Football Championship Game together at the hotel. And the way it was presented on TV it almost like we were watching the Super Bowl, only imagine what it would be like to play in the game in front of 20-plus thousand [fans]”. He further added that playing in the European League of Football would be a dream come true: “hopefully I can be part of the 2022 season and help grow the league around Europe”.

If you think about coming to the game on Sunday, you can expect a high-quality game, according to Richardson: “Fans should expect great quality football on the field. The fans will see the most talent they ever seen on the field since the NFL Europe days. It's going to be a very competitive game”.

I know for the Americans that wasn’t apart of the league this season, this is our tryout for the 2022 season. So speaking for team USA we not looking at this game as a Allstar game but a opportunity to be in the elf. Team USA is coming after jobs this Sunday.

As far as preparation goes, Richardson believes the US Federation National Team is far along and ready to play: “We are well prepared for this game Sunday. [From the] start of the week we were practicing twice a day. We [have] done a great amount prep for the European League of Football All-Star Game”. On top of the preparation, the U.S. players are excited to play with a team full of Americans: “We're excited that we finally get to play with a team full of Americans over here in Europe”.
