The Paris Musketeers have secured a major boost for their 2026 campaign: quarterback Zach Edwards is returning to the French capital. After winning the Offensive Player of the Year Award in 2024, Edwards chose to remain in the United States for a year-long break - but now the star quarterback is back and ready to lead the Musketeers once again.

Since joining the European League of Football in 2021, Edwards has been one of the league’s top performers every season. Over his four-year ELF tenure, he has thrown for nearly 12,000 passing yards and 121 touchdowns, numbers that cement his status as one of the league’s elite quarterbacks.

Standing at 1.94 meters and weighing 100 kilograms, Edwards is known not only for his arm talent but also for his dual-threat ability. In his last active season (2024), he rushed for 792 yards and eight touchdowns, consistently putting pressure on opposing defenses and extending drives with his legs.

A key building block for Paris

The Musketeers are deep in preparation for the 2026 season. After confirming the return of Head Coach Jack Del Rio, bringing back Zach Edwards marks another major step for the franchise. Paris aims to return to playoff contention, and the combination of Del Rio’s leadership and Edwards’ dynamic play style gives them a strong foundation to build on.

Looking ahead

With Edwards under center once more, the Musketeers regain one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in Europe. His experience, leadership, and versatility will be crucial as Paris attempts to rise back among the league’s top contenders. Fans in the French capital can look forward to an exciting 2026 season - with their franchise quarterback back where he belongs.
