Wrocław Panthers sign Matthew Vitale as quarterback

After releasing quarterback Nik Rango two weeks ago, the Panthers signed Div. I walk-on quarterback Matthew Vitale. The Italo-American was lastly signed by the Wrocław Jaguars in the second division of Polish football.
Before going abroad, Vitale was a walk-on quarterback for the University of West Virginia, Temple University and Jackson State University, unfortunately did not see game action since 2018. In 2017, he transferred to Diablo Valley Community College in California, starting 11 games, being named Team Captain.

His High School years were where he thrived the most. Vitale was a three-year starting quarterback, finishing his career with 4,413 yards and 48 touchdowns with only 14 interceptions. Since then, Vitale could not find a longtime home.
At 1,80 m and just 78 kg, Vitale has a rather small build, but knows the Polish surroundings since March. It remains to be seen if Vitale will play in the first game against the Sea Devils yet.
