Wroclaw Panthers bring back more Homegrowns
The Wroclaw Panthers have confirmed the signing of further Homegrowns for next season. After the team extended the contracts of a quartet of Polish players around star running back Dawid Brzozowski just last week, four more players have now followed.
Firstly, defensive linemen Łukasz Gembarda will stay for another season. The 27-year-old has been with the Panthers since 2021. Since then, Gembarda has played 40 ELF games, 25 of them as a starter. He has collected a total of 71 tackles, including seven for loss, and two sacks.
The Panthers also invest in their offensive line. Jakub Gajewski, Jędrzej Rudnicki and Konrad Orzechowski each re-signed for another season.
Rudnicki joined the Panthers in 2024. He previously played an ELF season for the Barcelona Dragons. The 30-year-old tackle quickly established himself as a regular starter in Wroclaw.
Gajewski has been part of the team since 2023. While the 23-year-old was still learning as a back-up in his first season, he was allowed to play his first games as a starter last season.
Orzechowski, meanwhile, is regarded as a talent. The 22-year-old is about to enter his third season in the league. So far, he has been used as a back-up.
