A win in Hungary against the Fehérvár Enthroners gave the Vienna Vikings the fifth straight victory and allowed them to return to Vienna as Division Champions for the fourth consecutive time. Head Coach Chris Calaycay’s Vienna Vikings secured a 53-16 victory in the first game of Game Week 11.
Vienna Vikings at Fehérvár Enthroners: 53-16
Although the Vienna Vikings lost the coin toss, they got off to a strong start in their game against the Fehérvár Enthroners. The Vikings scored on the second play of the day thanks to a perfectly executed connection between quarterback Ben Holmes and homegrown wide receiver Yannick Mayr.
Despite falling behind early, the Enthroners' defense stepped up and challenged the Vikings on several drives. At the beginning of the second quarter, Vikings QB Holmes threw an interception, but the Enthroners didn’t manage to benefit from it. Midway through the second quarter, both teams fumbled the ball on consecutive drives. At halftime, the Vienna Vikings held a 26–10 lead. As in previous weeks, the winless Enthroners showed notable determination and fight during the first half.

Similar to what happened just before halftime, the game resumed after the break with an interception by the Vikings. On the following drive, Vikings wide receiver Reece Horn scored the 50th touchdown of his ELF career. This remarkable achievement was celebrated by the Vikings as it should be. Afterwards, the Vikings quickly took control, leading 46–10 by the end of the third quarter. This allowed the Vikings’ homegrown backup quarterbacks Michael Szabo and Nico Hrouda to see playing time in the final quarter. In the end, the struggling offense of the Enthroners made things too easy for the Vienna Vikings. A professional performance by the Vikings ended in a dominant 53–16 victory, a perfect way to finish their day trip to Székesfehérvár.
Final stretch ahead
All teams in the league will now enter a bye week before the final two games of the regular season take place. In Week 13, the Vienna Vikings will host the Wroclaw Panthers for another divisional matchup, while the Fehérvár Enthroners will face Berlin Thunder at home. A victory over Berlin seems much more achievable than one against the strong Vikings.
