Vienna Vikings improve defensive backfield - release QB

The rich get richer! Still undefeated, the Vienna Vikings have completed a couple of roster tweaks this week. Defensive back Ken Hike Jr. (click here, to find out more about him in an exlusive interview) will improve the injury plagued secondary. Joining him will be defensive back Edwin Morales III.

Hike Jr. already has 66 career tackles, 3 interceptions, and 18 pass break ups in just 17 ELF games. Last season, he was named to the All-Star team. Edwin Morales III is a new face in the ELF. He most recently played college football for the Monmouth Hawks, where is playmaking abilites shined the last couple of the seasons.

In 2023, Morales III had 27 tackles and four interceptions to his name, while also contributing as a special teamer. Originally declaring for the NFL Draft 2024, he now looks to take his talents to Europe.

In a corresponding move, both quarterback Shelton Eppler and wide receiver Weston Carr were let go. From the beginning, Eppler was seen as an interim replacement for the then injured Ben Holmes, who celebrated his comeback last weekend. Carr, who had been playing for the Vikings since 2022, had been dealing with injuries over the last couple of months and just recently been activated.
