Twelve signings! Stuttgart Surge name Offensive Line for 2025
Stuttgart Surge has been quiet for a long time this offseason. Now they are getting loud. The team is unleashing a self-proclaimed “signing wave”.
The team from the West Division is starting with a position group that is usually slightly overlooked: the offensive line. The team impressively proved last season that this group works in Stuttgart.
In more than 750 offensive plays, the line protected quarterback Reilly Hennessey and paved the way for a strong running game. With a total of 565 points scored, 65 touchdowns and 5,193 total yards in the 2024 regular season, Stuttgart Surge was one of the best teams in the European League of Football.
The front office wants to build on this success and presents twelve offensive linemen for the upcoming season.
Stuttgart Surge will therefore retain most of their offensive line from last year. With Werthmann, Schreiber and Biegert, exciting new names have also been added.
Biegert will be reunited with Surge Head Coach Jordan Neuman, under whom he played for the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns from 2020 to 2022. They won the German Bowl together. In 2023, Biegert made his ELF debut with the Munich Ravens. The 28-year-old played a total of 25 games in two years.
During his studies in the USA at Lindenwood University-Belleville, he also gained international football experience.
Meanwhile, Marlon Werthmann will also be making a reunion. The 23-year-old already played for Surge in 2023. In 2022, he even took part in the NFL International Pathway Program. After his guest appearance with the Munich Ravens last season, he is now back in Stuttgart. He played 13 games for the Ravens.

Schreiber has clear goals for his first season: “The challenge in the ELF and, above all, to prove that Stuttgart 2025 is the best team in the league. I want to improve even further in sporting terms. But I'm also really looking forward to meeting up with my old teammates”
It will be an exciting and important season for Surge and his offensive line. After all, the 2025 Championship Game will take place on September 7th in the MHP Arena in Stuttgart.
