Flashes of potential in 2022

Vienna Vikings tight end Florian Bierbaumer has secured himself the No. 10 spot on this year’s Top 100. The 25-year-old first put the league on notice in 2022, when he started the season looking like the next big thing. But after 2,5 games with 12 receptions for 216 yards and three touchdowns, Bierbaumer tore his ACL forcing him to sit out the rest of the season.

Domination in 2023

Hopes were high for the freak of nature in 2023 - and he certainly delivered. Despite standing at a massive 1,98 meters in height and weighing in at 120 kilograms, the Austrian is moving like a wide receiver, making him a nightmare for defenders to cover. Bierbaumer caught 36 passes for 556 yards and five touchdowns during the regular season and was selected as a First-Team All-Star. His excellent performances also earned the tight end an invitation to the NFL International Combine.

Bierbaumer was without a doubt the most impactful tight end in the ELF in 2023 and has a bright future ahead.
