The top ELF off-season moves of November
Another month of the ELF off-season has passed, and things are certainly heating up as the team prepare for 2025. Several teams have already found their quarterback for next season, while other have been more quiet.
Let’s take a look at the top signings of November.
The Nordic Storm have been easily the story of the off-season so far, signing the last two MVPs of the league and back to back champions in quarterback Jadrian Clark and running back Glen Toonga. Two of the league’s best players will now join a brand-new franchise, likely making them instant contenders in year one.
The league’s top receiver in terms of yards last season, Aaron Jackson moved from the Berlin Thunder to the Helvetic Mercenaries. The veteran WR put up 1,229 receiving yards and 18 total touchdowns last year earning offensive player of the year nomination. He will be joined by Milan Spiller who returns to the Mercenaries after putting up over 1k receiving yards. This gives new quarterback Isaiah Weed two great options the first day he walks in the door.
The Frankfurt Galaxy have decided to bring back quarterback Matthew McKay. The 6’4 played six games for them last year before suffering a season ending injury. In those games McKay had 13 total touchdowns and 1,816 total yards making plays with his arm and his feet. Look for McKay to build on year two in Frankfurt, especially with new pieces such as head coach Bart Andrus and offensive lineman Keanu Ebanks around him.
In one of the more surprising moves of the off-season, the Munich Ravens said goodbye to 31-year-old Chad Jeffries, the only quarterback they have ever had. The new man under center will be 21-year-old Russell Tabor.
Tabor comes to Munich after being a career backup for NFL quarterbacks Drake Maye and Sam Howell at the University of North Carolina. The young dual threat passer played this past season in Spain for the Osos Rivas, throwing for 1,491 yards and 23 touchdowns, against only 4 interceptions.
